In the National Gallery Kvadrat 500 from today, June 22, until July 20, the project ‘Sofia’s Labyrinth’ will be presented. The project challenges viewers to build their own routes, immersing themselves in native cultural traditions, combined with the images of superheroes, cooks, rose pickers, fantastic animals, treasures and what not. Kids and adults, armed with a magnifying glass in hand, will track their movements through the streets of the Bulgarian capital, find clues and solve additional mysterious challenges along the way - just like in the book series of Kamigaki for Detective Pierre.
The author of the interesting colorful illustrations is the Japanese illustrator Hiro Kamigaki, who drew the colorful labyrinth of Sofia in 2021, and after his visit to the capital in the summer of 2022, together with IC4DESIGN created a black and white map of the city - a much more accurate and detailed version, in which are interwoven verbal messages.
During the ‘Sofia’s Labyrinth’ Exhibition, the National Gallery organizes children's educational programs, information about which you can find on the Facebook page of the gallery.
