There will be an audio-visual celebration of literature on Slaveykov Square on the occasion of May 24. A multi-genre installation will present to passers-by excerpts from popular Bulgarian works. The event "The Sound of Bulgarian Literature" starts at 1:00 am on the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, the Bulgarian alphabet, education and culture and Slavic literature, according to the organizers of Storytel.
Three zones will be designated for the visitors of the event on Slaveykov Square. They will include children's, classical and contemporary literature. The cultural program includes literary readings and stories by contemporary authors, including Maria Kasimova-Moase, Rene Karabash, Katya Antonova, actress Silvia Petkova and literary historian Katya Zografova and others.
On the occasion of the holiday on the square will be located the benches "Hidden Letters", which represent the Bulgarian Cyrillic alphabet and contemporary poetry around the world. They will stay there from May 20 to June 20.
The event is an initiative of Storytel and an idea of the Imp-Act agency in partnership with Sofia Municipality, Read Sofia Foundation, Sofia Library and Assarel Medet.
