NEW YEAR'S MUSIC FEST

Every year in the days before Christmas and New Year’s Eve the National Palace of Culture invites us to a New Year’s Music Festival. The festival’s program begins on December 15 with the concert Christmas Magic – dedicated to the 100-year anniversary of the Professor Pancho Vladigerov National Music Academy. The Academic Symphony Orchestra is the ensemble, the conductor and soloists are from National Music Academy.

The traditional festive New Year’s concert, which takes place on the first day of the New Year, will be entitled Music from the two Americas. Conductor of the Festival Symphony Orchestra will be Maestro Emil Tabakov. Westside Story, Porgy and Bess, The Stars and Stripes Forever are only part of the well-known favorite titles that will be heard in the program.

On December 18 will take place the Christmas Concert for Children. On 22 December the Children’s Choir of the Bulgarian National Radio will perform twice the concert White Christmas at 11 am and 6 pm.

This year’s New Year’s Music Festival features a lot of ensembles and students from Professor Pancho Vladigerov National Music Academy. They will perform a total of three concerts within the boundaries of the festival.

The Big Band of the Academy will bring jazz emotions to the Christmas atmosphere on December 22 at 7 pm.

Admission to the New Year’s Eve the National Palace of Culture will only be possible with a Green certificate.
