The Day of Bravery and the Day of the Bulgarian Army

The Day of Bravery and the Day of the Bulgarian Army is an official holiday in the Republic of Bulgaria - a professional holiday for servicemen and a celebration of the Military Order "For Courage", which is traditionally celebrated every year on St. George's Day - May 6. This year, the holiday will be celebrated with several events in line with the introduced anti-epidemic measures. The events will include a solemn ritual at the National Military University "Vasil Levski" in Veliko Turnovo and demonstrations of capabilities by special operations forces from the Navy and the Air Force, the Ministry of Defense reported.

On the eve of the holiday, at 21.00 on May 5, a festive illumination will begin in the Boris Garden in Sofia. It will be implemented by units of the National Guard Unit.
