The National Archaeological Museum presents
Temporary exhibition “Bulgarian Archaeology 2019”
from 15 February until 26 April 2020
For thirteenth consecutive year the National Archaeological Museum, together with 17 museums from the country, organizes the temporary exhibition “Bulgarian Archaeology”. The exhibition presents the most interesting and impressive discoveries and investigations from the last active archaeological season. Among the artefacts on display are gold, silver and bronze adornments, gold stamp-ring, fine ceramic anthropomorphic figurines, pottery vessels, silver coins, bronze figures, and many others. A total of 26 sites are included, illustrating the development of cultures in present day Bulgaria from the Palaeolithic (more than 40 000 years before present) until the Middle ages. The exhibition “Bulgarian Archaeology 2019” will be on display in the Temporary Exhibitions Hall of the National Archaeological Museum from 15 February until 26 April 2020.
