BDZ organizes trips with a steam locomotive at the beginning of June

BDZ will organize special trips with a steam locomotive in the first days of June for all children and train lovers. The attraction compositions will travel along a total of three different routes in the country.

During the International Children's Day - June 1, trips will be organized from Sofia to Pernik and back, as well as on the narrow gauge train from Septemvri to Velingrad and in the opposite direction.

Train travelers will have a little more than three hours to walk around the city, where they will be able to enjoy the various organized initiatives around the Palace of Culture, such as concerts and various fun activities, part of the National Geographic Kids TOUR 2023.

At the same time, the narrow-gauge train will leave with the steam locomotive from Septemvri station for Velingrad. BDZ has also provided pleasant surprises for those traveling with this train on the occasion of its 135th anniversary. The composition will have two stops in the direction of Velingrad at Varvara and Dolene stations, where passengers will be able to enjoy and photograph the beautiful views that open up to them.

Apart from June 1, a journey on the narrow gauge railway will also be organized on Sunday, June 4 on the same route and with the same schedule.

The third travel route will be organized on Saturday, June 3 in the direction Sofia - Koprivshtitsa - Sofia. During the trip, there will be more nice surprises for all those present in the composition specially organized for them on the occasion of the anniversary of the establishment of the BDZ.
