Slaveykov Square has been decorated with a two-meter book

Slaveykov Square has been decorated with a book entitled In the Beginning was the Word. This is an exhibition of Tzar Simeon Veliki Private School and the Bulgarian Memory Foundation and is organized with the support of Sofia Municipality. The exhibition was created on the occasion of May 24 - Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, of the Bulgarian alphabet, education, and culture and of Slavic literature. This is the new name of the holiday, which was changed by a resolution of Parliament at the end of 2020.

The book is accompanied by decorative cubes with quotes of students and teachers from the school - creator of the exhibition related to the richness and beauty of the Bulgarian language. The aim is to remind the residents and guests of Sofia of the uniqueness and richness of the Bulgarian literature and culture.

In addition to its size, the two-meter book surprised the residents and guests of Sofia with something more unusual. It can be opened and there is a QR code inside it, which can be scanned with a mobile phone. The code opens an article with 10 interesting facts about the Cyrillic alphabet prepared by the Bulgarian History Association.
