Opera in the Park - 2021 - 12th Edition of the Summer Festival

The 12th edition of the summer festival Opera in the Park will open on June 19 with the children's show The Three Little Pigs in the park of G. S. Rakovski Military Academy. The festival will be held with the support of Sofia Municipality, it is part of the Cultural Events Calendar 2021 and is under the patronage of the Mayor of Sofia Municipality Mrs. Yordanka Fandakova. The performances in the park of the Military Academy will last until August 1 and are suitable for children and adults.

For the second year in a row, the Opera in the Park Festival offers music lovers another stage - that of the lake mirror of Pancharevo. On July 9, with the opera La donna del lago (The Lady of the Lake) by Gioachino Rossini, Sofia Opera will open the temporary stage Muses of Water at Lake Pancharevo. The opera La donna del lago will be performed for the first time in Bulgaria.

The two outdoor stages of Opera in the Park 2021 Summer Festival offer both children and adults the opportunity to experience the art of opera in nature. Whether at the lake mirror of Pancharevo, or in the green park of the Military Academy, the audience will be able to choose performances from the repertoire of Sofia Opera.
