“Sofia Chooses the Children”

“Sofia Chooses the Children” is the winning project in the program of Sofia Municipality Sofia Chooses. The idea behind the program SOFIA CHOOSES was proposed by the Mayor of Sofia Mts. Yordanka Fandakova – its aim is to implement projects that would improve the urban environment, proposed by citizens, and selected by them through voting.

"Sofia Chooses the Children" envisages the design and creation of modern toilets in schools on the territory of Sofia Municipality. The budget of this initiative is BGN 1.5 million – the budget of the entire Sofia Chooses Program for 2021.

A total of 39 projects of initiative committees from different districts, NGOs and other associations participated in the competition of Sofia Municipality. 5,640 people voted for the winning project.
