Bankya Celebrates its 70th Anniversary as a Resort

Bankya is one of the 24 administrative districts of Sofia Municipality and in 2020 it will celebrate its 70th anniversary as a resort. There you can enjoy recreation and sport all year round - swimming, tennis and horse riding. The resort is famous for the favorable combination of two things - healing hot mineral springs and air currents, which is extremely helpful for people with heart disease. Because of the town’s anniversary a rich event calendar has been prepared. On February 13, 2020, a drawing lesson inspired by St Trifon’s Day and Valentine's Day will be awaiting you, on February 19, 2020 - lectures "We need actions, not words" in memory of the Apostle of Freedom Vasil Levski, and on the eve of March 1st, 2020 a mass knitting of martenitsas will be organized and various urban sites will also be decorated in white and red so that everyone is healthy during the leap year! On March 1, Bankya will celebrate the ancient Bulgarian holiday – Baba Marta, and the Day of the Bulgarian Community Center with a festive concert and a lot of surprises ... Celebrate with Bankya!
