Sofia is Offering a Palette of Events in April

The events in April will turn Sofia into a multi-colored city with a palette of international events and cultural programs that will offer unusual and artistic ideas, meetings and projects on various topics throughout the whole month.

From April 2 to April 23, 2019 the March of Books will take place in Sofia. This national campaign which aims at promoting reading is an annual event, which includes institutions, schools and kindergartens as well as numerous celebrities who support this initiative wholeheartedly. It is linked with the International Children's Book Day (April 2) and the World Book and Copyright Day (April 23).

From April 16 to April 18 various forums will be held in Inter Expo Center – the Save the Planet Exhibition, the Smart Cities International Exhibition and the Exhibition on Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy - a successful platform for establishing contacts and transfer of know-how between the business sector, the industry, municipalities and industry associations not only in Bulgaria but also in Southeastern Europe.

From April 18 to May 30, 2019 Sofia Paper Art Fest will also be held. It is an annual multidisciplinary forum dedicated to Sofia and its transformation into a creative capital. The sporting events include the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup (April 12-14), children's swimming tournament (April 20-21) dedicated to Palm Sunday (Tsvetnitsa/Flowers Day), and Sofia Open International Taekwondo Tournament (April 20-21).
