Sofia Municipality Announces an Open Competition for the Restoration, Renovation and Construction of Sveta Nedelya Square

Sofia Municipality has announced an open competition for the restoration, renovation and construction of Sveta Nedelya Square and its adjacent public spaces. The goal is to create a network of accessible spaces while preserving their identity. Proposals must be submitted by May 8, 2019. Everyone who wants to participate with their projects can ask questions regarding the procedure till April 29. The criterion for the evaluation of the competition projects is the optimal price / quality ratio. The first pre-selection of proposals will be on June 20-21, 2019. Sofia Municipality has prepared a total prize fund of BGN 250 000 for the proposed concepts, which will be distributed among the selected five projects – starting with BGN 70 000 for first place and dropping to BGN 30 000 for fifth place.
