Description
Sveti Sedmochislenitsi are the Slav enlighteners, the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius and their students - Kliment, Naum, Sava, Gorazd and Angelariy. Banished from Moravia they were well received in Bulgaria. Here they did monk deeds and spread faith and religious education among the people in the 9th century. The reconstruction of the mosque into a church was done by its main corpus. Just an outhouse was built - of the narthex and the bell tower.
Historical Information
The church is named after Cyril and Methodius and their five disciples, known in the Orthodox Church collectively as the Sedmochislenitsi.
