Historical Information

It is believed that the St George the Victorious Monastery was built in the 19th c. At present, it is anoperating, monks’ cloister. It consists of several residential buildings and a small church. The church’s feast is marked on May 6, St George’s Day. The monastery is surrounded by an imposing brick-wall, while the old buildings are contrasted by a newly built fountain with two small statues of lions in front of it.
