Description
Grona Banya is one of the oldest quarters of Sofia and is part of Ovcha Kupel administrative region of Sofia municipality. It is bordered on the south by Knyazhevo, on the north and east by Ovcha Kupel quarters.
Historical Information
Historical sources account that modern Gorna Banya traces its appearance to the village that had formed in the second half of the 18th century by the settling of several families in the area. On April 11, 1938 it became a quarter of Sofia.
